Get excited, folks: Jagged Edge is back. And they are trying to take it back to the old days, like the 2000s, when they had hits like “Let’s Get Married,” “Get the Part Started” and “Promise” in heavy rotation.
They are coming back with a new album, their first LP in three years. The new album, which is a sequel to J.E. Heartbreak, will see the group team back up with Jermaine Dupri.
The group was in pretty good sprits when they visited the GlobalGrind offices last week. During their interview with GG’s music editor, Brittany Lewis — which is the first of two parts — the group talked about lost love, R&B singers singing about hood stuff and rappers like Drake and Future singing.
As group member Brandon says in this interview: “We came to save the fucking day.”
