Keke Palmer has come a long way since playing Queen Latifah‘s niece in Barbershop 2: Back in Business, but since then, she’s been doing it all–singing, dancing and acting, and now the 20-year-old will make history as the youngest talk show host ever with her new BET show Just Keke.
We’ll definitely be checking this one out, and here’s why you should be tuning in too.
For one, she’s hilarious.
Have you seen her ‘doing it for the Vine’ lately? Keke’s been getting down with a few famous ‘Viners’ and making some pretty funny videos, so hopefully we’ll get to see some of that on the show.
She’s a good role model for girls her age.
Keke grew up on Disney and Nickelodeon and has managed to keep her ‘good girl’ image while also easing her way into adulthood – and lots of young girls look up to her for that.
She’s also not afraid to discuss issues that matter for young girls around her age, such as relationships.
The whole these girls ain’t loyal movement has a lot of girls thinking they have to be loyal to men that aren’t.

You can’t be up here saying some, these ho’s ain’t loyal & YOU aren’t loyal. You get what you give.

She’s multi-talented.
We’ve all seen her act, but she’s also a great singer and dancer.
It is her talk show after all, so it would be cool to see her incorporate all her talents into the show.
She has a relatable personality.
Keke isn’t afraid to just be herself, and she’s known to show off her silly, energetic side.
She’s basically an industry veteran.
Seriously, she’s been an entertainer since she was 11, so she’s got this. She knows her audience, so she’ll definitely touch on topics within pop culture, fashion and relationships, and include everyone’s favorite celebrity interviews.
Just Keke airs weekdays at 5 p.m. ET on BET.
