The singer’s debut album, Souled Out, is coming this fall. And expectations are high. And judging by her just released single, “The Pressure,” she’s matching up to those lofty expectations.
The singer dropped the song on Vogue. Honestly, while good, “The Pressure” doesn’t stray too far from the Jhené model of her whispering singing quietly over an atmospheric beat.
Jhené does tells Vogue that she’s “a lyricist before anything.” So when listening to her songs, listen for the lyrics…not the singing.
