That’s got to be a tough pill to swallow, but all in all, we guess it’s been a long time coming. The superstars were separated for eight months following cheating allegations on Robin’s part. In that time, the “Blurred Lines” singer pled for his soon-to-be ex-wife’s forgiveness several times publicly, and has even dedicated an entire album titled Paula to her.
Still, she cited “irreconcilable differences” on the divorce paperwork and according to the NY Daily News, she’s seeking “joint physical and legal custody of their 4-year-old son, Julian Fuego, but doesn’t request spousal support.”
There’s also word that the split may have been amicable, although from the outside looking in, it doesn’t seem amicable at all.
“It was also filed pro per, meaning without an attorney, hinting that the split may be an amicable one, though property rights are listed as yet to be determined. ‘(It’s) all very peaceful,’ a source close to the couple told the Daily News late Thursday.”
We’re sad to say it’s officially over, but whatever works best for their family and son Julian is a step in the right direction.
