Amber Vinson, the second nurse in the US to contract Ebola, is speaking out about her time while she had the virus. Vinson told CNN reporter Don Lemon: “It is very draining. And even now, walking a short distance, I get short of breath. When I was going through my very rough days, you have to force yourself to get up and forcing yourself to get up is a struggle. You’re fighting for your life.” She also mentioned that many of her belongings, including her engagement ring, were incinerated days after she was diagnosed. [Gawker]
Women can now report online sexual harassment thanks to a “unprecedented collaboration” between Twitter and Woman, Action, and The Media (WAM!), a nonprofit dedicated to the gender justice in the media. The Twitter Harassment Reporting Tool lets users fill out a form to report online harassment. Jaclyn Friedman, Executive Director of WAM!, said “We’re so glad that Twitter recognizes that the best way to ensure equally free speech for all users on their platform is to ensure that all users are equally free to speak without being targeted by harassment, abuse and threats.” [Buzzfeed]

A 25-year-old nurse by the name of Charmaine Wilson faked a DNA test and went so far as to forge a birth certificate to trick a man, Liam Griffiths, into thinking he is the father of her baby after their one-night stand. Liam grew love for the boy and even began preparing to build a home in his parent’s garden to support Wilson and the baby. Griffiths said in a press report: “The only word I can use to describe Charmaine and what she has done is mental and I cannot believe she would deceive me in this way.” Wilson has been arrested and jailed for 4 months after admitting to 2 counts of fraud.
