Lorde revealed she reached out to Yeezus during an interview with Billboard last week, and it appears we’ve already gotten their first collaboration.
Although there aren’t any vocals from Kanye on the new “rework” of Lorde’s “Yellow Flicker Beat,” the production has Kanye written all over it. Taking the similar dark tone of Yeezus the album, Kanye maintains the song’s initial minimalist production, but adds a sinister and more robust sound to the beat.
“Yellow Flicker Beat” is featured on the Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack, which drops November 18. You can catch the film in theaters on November 21.
