Twenty years later, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels reunite for Dumb and Dumber To, the official sequel to their 1994 hit film. This time, we join Harry and Lloyd as they reunite for a road trip to find Harry’s long-lost daughter.
The movie is dumb, but what else would you expect from these two?
Harry and Lloyd are not to be taken seriously, but between laughs you can’t help but wonder how they survived this long without accidentally killing themselves.
We sat down to chat with the cast about their new film, which revisits a character teased in the first movie twenty years ago. Kathleen Turner plays Freda Felcher, who gave up Harry’s daughter for adoption after he didn’t respond to a letter she sent to his parents’ home. After finally finding the letter, Harry and Lloyd go to visit Freda, which leads to one of Kathleen’s favorite scenes:
“The scene in the funeral home when they drink the embalming fluid, that was pretty wild,” she said.
If silly humor isn’t your thing, you might skip this one, but if you want to see just how far two men can go while acting like complete idiots, or if you’re a fan of the first film, then this movie will be worth your money.
Dumber and Dumber To hits theaters today, November 14th. Check out our interview with the cast above, in which the actors learn about the word “THOT,” and talk about … celebrity farts.
