Earlier this week, Beyonce released 30-second snippets of two new songs featured on her forthcoming BEYONCÉ: The Platinum Edition album.
While “Ring Off” is a softer jam, Beyonce turns up her “Third Ward Trill” alter ego on “7/11.” On “Ring Off,” it seems like the songstress pulls inspiration from her mother’s marital experience with her father, Matthew Knowles.
“You took that ring off/ oh, and now the fun begins/ dust yourself off, and love again/ you found a new man now, you’re shining/ you’re fine like it’s my time,” sings Beyonce. “After all your tears/ after all that pain’s all clear, mama/ after all them years, we can start all over again, mama,” she continues.
BEYONCÉ: The Platinum Edition will feature four new remixes, the original 14 songs, and 17 music videos on the self-titled album, and a DVD of her live performance from her year-long “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.”
The album rerelease will drop November 24, and will be available for pre-order on iTunes and Amazon.
