While protests continue throughout the streets of New York City, there are basic necessities the demonstrators need to fortify themselves and keep their voices loud against the threat of injustice.
Well, John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen have been watching all of the marches, chants, and die-in’s closely, and they decided to help feed those out there in NYC protesting the decision to not indict a Staten Island police officer who killed Eric Garner by placing him in a chokehold.
The couple recently put in their own money to buy out food trucks and provide some sustenance for those spending their days and nights in the streets. According to BuzzFeed, they purchased a Kimchi Taco Truck, as well as a Milk Truck NYC, which provided Korean BBQ and Mac & Cheese.
Even though the two have kept their buy-out very hush-hush, Chrissy confirmed the news to BuzzFeed, and retweeted some information about the trucks’ location:
