Legendary singer Gladys Knight has declared someone her protégée.
His name is Avehre (pronounced ah-veer) and he’s a young singer from Chicago. Avehre started out as one of Knight’s background vocalists, but now he’s being pushed as a solo artist. Yesterday, the singer dropped his debut project, Holiday EP.
Executive produced by Gladys Knight, Fred “Blaze” Crawford, and Jerry Guttman, the EP features the single “Give Love.”
