You knew it was coming.
Hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler cracked some jokes about Bill Cosby and the sexual assault allegations against him at the Golden Globe Awards last night.
The two ladies brought the joke in using the movie Into The Woods, which merges classic Disney fairy tales to make a new tale of fantasy and heroic antics. Well, Amy and Tina put a spin on it.
Amy started off saying:
“In Into The Woods, Cinderella runs from her Prince. Rapunzel is thrown from a tower for her prince and Sleeping Beauty just thought she was getting coffee with Bill Cosby.”
The joke found the loudest amount of groans and laughs, but it didn’t stop there. Tina chimed in:
“I don’t know if you guys saw this on the news today, but Bill Cosby has finally spoken out about the allegations against him. Cosby admitted to a reporter,” Fey said, before busting in to a Cosby impression, “‘I put the pills in the people! The people did not want the pills in them!’”
Poehler replied, “No, Tina, hey. That’s not right. That’s not right. It’s more like, ‘I got the pills in the bathrobe and I put ‘em in the people!’”
All is fair in love and comedy at the Golden Globes.
