A female teen was beaten by a man on the SEPTA trolley in Philadelphia, after she was accused of bumping her school bag into him numerous times.

According to NBC Philadelphia, the incident occurred on Wednesday morning, as Shay, whose real name has not been released, bumped her bag into the man inside of the crowded trolley. After ignoring his complaints, she claims that the man then took the hat off of her head.

She told authorities that she saw his hand make a fist, with his arm cocking back, as she reached down to retrieve her hat, leading her to try and defend herself.

A passenger caught the altercation on camera, where the man is seen punching Shay at least two times in the face, before getting off of the trolley and fleeing at 7th Street and Girard Avenue.

Shay suffered bruising, and a possible broken nose, along with her eye being swollen shut following the altercation.

So far, investigators have not found the man responsible, and ask anyone with information to contact local authorities at 215.686.TIPS.
