Kim Kardashian and Kanye West may have broken the law when they went on a double date with John Legend and Chrissy Teigen this past weekend ahead of the Super Bowl in Arizona.

We previously showed you the flicks from Kim and Ye’s night on the town, but now we’re hearing that the couple may have broken some police protocol. Phoenix police said state law prohibits non-emergency vehicles from ‘displaying a red or red and blue lights’ on highways. Watch video of their procession here.

According to the New York Daily News:

They were escorted by a squadron of security, with each member of the detail riding a motorcycle with its lights flashing, leading to criticism online. But Phoenix police officials said their officers were not involved.

While the photos that surfaced online make it look like Kim and Yeezy were getting a police escort through the city, a police spokesperson says it wasn’t his team who ushered the stars around town.

“That was not done by us, but they could hire private security or off-duty officers,” said Phoenix Police Department spokesman Trent Crump.

Crump did mention it could have been off-duty police officers.

First Kim breaks the internet, and then she breaks the law? If she did, she’s not worried. Instead, Kim’s just chilling with North, doing makeup and being Mrs. West.
