A letter sent to the White House, which they received yesterday, has tested positive for containing a substance with possible cyanide.

According to BuzzFeed News, a Secret Service spokesperson confirmed the letter, and said that the initial test turned up negative, but the chemical test performed earlier today showed the potential for the substance to be the deadly chemical.

The site reports:

It was not immediately clear where the screening facility was located.

Secret Service spokesman Robert Hoback told BuzzFeed News that an investigation is now underway, and that the sample had been sent to another facility for further testing.
