After releasing a song following the Freddie Gray protests, legendary singer Prince has announced that he will host a concert. The event, which is called the “Mother’s Day Rally 4 Peace” concert, is slated to take place at Royal Farms Arena. “In a spirit of healing, the event is meant to be a catalyst for pause and reflection following the outpouring of violence that has gripped Baltimore and areas throughout the U.S.,” said the organizers. “As a symbolic message of our shared humanity and love for one another, attendees are invited to wear something gray in tribute to all those recently lost in the violence.”  Read more.

On Tuesday, a Maricopa County Superior Court judge made a ruling that would allow immigrants to further their educational aspirations. The judge ruled that undocumented students who have work visas under the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) can have lower tuition rates. He hopes that the ruling will inspire young immigrants to enroll in college. Read more.

Following the unrest in Baltimore, there have been several surveillance planes spotted flying over the area. After it was discovered that air-crafts were secretly scrutinizing the area, the American Civil Liberties Union is inquiring about the legal authority of the planes and what type of technology was being used. They believe that the people in Baltimore have the right to know if they’re being watched. “A lot of these technologies sweep very, very broadly, and, at a minimum, the public should have a right to know what’s going on,” Jay Stanley, a senior policy analyst at the ACLU, said.
