The Kardashian family has been very public about their thoughts on Caitlyn Jenner‘s gender transitioning process, and for the most part, they’ve all been outwardly supportive. But surprisingly, the person we’ve seemed to hear the least from is arguably the one who knew Bruce best: Kris Jenner.
The Kardashians were recently spotted at DailyMail.com’s Seriously Popular Party in Cannes, France (which is not new news if you’ve dared to follow Kylie on Instagram). Kylie, Kim, and Kris all chatted about the upcoming ESPY Awards, where Olympian Caitlyn is being honored with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award on July 15th. Kris finally vocalized her thoughts on the public transformation and Caitlyn’s new identity. She called Caitlyn “amazing” and her Vanity Fair cover “beautiful.”
Kris told Extra:
“I think that someone following their dream is truly inspirational to a lot of people…. you have to do what makes you happy.”
Kim said she is “just genuinely so happy that Caitlyn can be who she is and who she wants to be” during an interview with The Today Show at the Cannes Lions advertising festival in France. But the reality star also admitted that it hasn’t been an easy adjustment for the family. She’s taken comfort in Caitlyn’s reassurance that she will always be her dad, no matter what.
The 34-year-old mom was recently accused of only having male embryos implanted to have a son, which she says is total B.S. She does admit to putting on 15 pounds from the pregnancy already…and she’s not even halfway to her due date.
Check out what Kim had to say about her first Father’s Day with Caitlyn, below.
