If you’re a real Father fan, “Fake AF” is nothing new to you.
But this version is. In the new “Fake AF” remix, Father and Playboi Carti take on a new project, while still staying true to Father’s minimalistic sound. Unlike the original, the remix has more variety of sound, thanks to the contrast of Carti’s sharp lively vocals and Father’s relaxed, more fluid rap style.
In other news, the rapper also released the official music video for his new track “Cheap Thrills,” which unlike “Fake AF,” is pretty much nothing like the traditional, sleepy-eyed sound we’re used to hearing from the Atlanta trapper. The pop-like sensibility is a little shocking to say the least, not that it doesn’t work. Whether it winds up being your favorite Father track or not, it’s worth a listen, for the vocals at least.
