Kanye West for president.
During his Video Vanguard Award acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs last night, it took 12 minutes, dozens of incomplete thoughts, and lots of confusion for Kanye to come to the conclusion that he’s running for president in the year 2020, but the non-political presidential candidate is kicking off his campaign with a new concert.
Although yesterday marked the 10-year anniversary of Kanye’s Late Registration album, the Chicago rapper announced he’s having an 808s & Heartbreaks concert in Los Angeles next month.
It’s been seven years since Kanye changed the game with 808s & Heartbreaks, and he’s celebrating its cultural impact early. There are no real details about the concert yet, except that all the action is scheduled to go down at the Hollywood Bowl on September 25.
If you’re an American Express cardholder, you can purchase pre-sale tickets today on Ticketmaster. Tickets will go on sale for the general public on Friday, September 4.
