In an exclusive interview with TODAY, Matt Lauer asked the I Am Cait star for her thoughts on the costumes, which have already appeared online. Surprisingly, Caitlyn says she’s not offended by the get-ups.
“I’m in on the joke. I don’t think it’s offensive at all,” Caitlyn replies while on the golf course. “I know the community does and they’ve gotten a lot of criticism for doing it. I think it’s great.”
In keeping with the great sense of humor she has about it all, Caitlyn continued:
“To be honest with you, I think it’s great. They could have a better looking outfit for him, you know?”

“I was under the speed limit. I was going 46 in a 50… All I needed was probably a half a second [more to stop],” she said.
Still, she describes it as a “tragedy” that she’ll never “get over.”
Ahead of her appearance with Lauer, Caitlyn also made her talk show debut on Ellen. However, her interview with DeGeneres took an awkward turn when the issue of gay marriage was raised, as Caitlyn seemed to half-heartedly offer her support, saying:
“That’s not my job. If that word ‘marriage’ is really, really that important to you, I can go with it.”
Understandably, many were left scratching their heads by Cait’s “traditionalist” stance on gay marriage, including Ellen. While speaking to Howard Stern, the talk show host referred to it as “confusing,” saying:
“You’re wanting people to understand and accept you. This is like, really confusing to people. And you still have a judgement about gay people and marriage.”
Sorry, Cait. We have to agree with Ellen here. For more, watch Ellen’s full interview with Stern below.
