This young model has become famous for her stunning looks and celebrity connections, but that’s not all she has to offer.

Bella Hadid is training for the 2016 Olympics in the hopes of representing the U.S. in equestrian events. While it may seem out of the blue to her fans, it’s actually something Bella has been considering for a long time. The 18-year-old tells The Mirror: “My devotion stemmed from my mom’s love of horses. I have been riding since I could walk and the fact that my mom knew everything about horses really helped my passion grow.”

In fact, Bella – whose mom is Yolanda Foster of Real Housewives fame, and sis is supermodel Gigi Hadid – goes on to explain that her modeling career was never really the plan: “I never knew [modeling] was something I wanted to do. I started riding at an early age and my sister was modeling for years before I was. I thought that was going to be her thing.

Best of luck, Bella. In the meantime, we’re sure those modeling gigs won’t slow up anytime soon.
