Zendaya is quite the style darling, so it’s no shocker that she ended up on the cover of Modeliste magazine. While the mag posted beautiful pics from the photoshoot on Instagram, the singer-actress isn’t too pleased about how some turned out.
Z took to her own Instagram page to criticize the publication for Photoshopping her figure, specifically her “hips and torso.” She posted the un-retouched pic right beside the manipulated photo. The magazine must have agreed with her, because the editors took down the pics and promised to fix the images from the issue.
“Had a new shoot come out today and was shocked when I found my 19 year old hips and torso quite manipulated. These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have. Anyone who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self love. So I took it upon myself to release the real pic (right side) and I love it Thank you @modelistemagazine for pulling down the images and fixing this retouch issue.”
Zendaya shows young girls that you can hold true to your beliefs to get the results you deserve. Go, girl!
