Apple Worldwide Developers Conference Opens In San Francisco

It’s not a flying car, but it’s still pretty cool.

Just when the possibility of an Apple Ring seemed pretty cool, the tech company has officially taken things to another level: An Apple Car may be in the works. CEO Tim Cook alluded to the possibility of a “massive change” within the auto industry while speaking to the Wall Street Journal:

“When I look at the automobile, what I see is that software becomes an increasingly important part of the car of the future,” adding, “I do think that industry is at an inflection point for massive change, not just evolutionary change.”

This news comes as social media explodes for Back To The Future Day and while the movie may have gotten some predictions right, they didn’t quite see this coming.

For right now, Cook appears to be focused on self-driving car technology and Apple’s CarPlay, but a rumored electric car from Apple has been given a 2019 launch date.
