Instagram just pulled a major move on Snapchat.
Users who visited the ‘Gram on Saturday may have noticed a new feature, as they were prompted to “Watch Halloween’s Best Videos.” According to Instagram, this wasn’t just a one-off: they have introduced a live stream of curated video content that will showcase specific events.
If you’re on Snapchat, then you know this is actually nothing new. Snap’s “Live Stories” are very similar and were unveiled earlier this year.
An Instagram rep shared the following statement to Re/code regarding the news: “This is a new way to experience events and big moments, as they happen, through the eyes of the Instagram community.”
