Yeezy season has been in full effect for a year now, but things are about to go into overdrive.

Back in February when the gray Yeezy Boost 750 dropped, all people could think about was which color Kanye would release next. And as it’s almost been a year since the first colorway dropped, the thirst is real. Now, Highsnobiety has obtained info that says the black Yeezy Boost 750 will hit stores in the next few weeks. Early reports said they’d be a Black Friday release, but the latest rumors claim a December 5 release date instead. No matter when they drop, a frenzy is sure to ensue.

New colorways aside, Kanye’s sneaker influence is on the rise. On “New God Flow,” Kanye rapped, “Hold up, I ain’t trying to stunt, man/But the Yeezys jumped over the Jumpman” and three years later, his raps came true.

According to Nice Kicks, “Yeezy” is a more popular search term than “Jordans.” Adidas is always playing catchup with the retail giant that is Nike, but it looks like the German-based company is making strides in popularity with the likes of Pharrell, Nigo, and of course, Kanye.
