If you’re not in the holiday spirit quite yet, Hot 97 is about to get you right.
The radio station has hooked up with Busta Rhymes to deliver one of the most highly anticipated concerts of the holiday season. “Busta Rhymes & Friends: Hot 4 The Holidays” will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. on December 5th, and with an all-star line-up featuring Mariah Carey, Fetty Wap, Mary J. Blige, French Montana, The Lox, Diddy, Jeremih, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and Sean Paul plus more, it’s clearly not to be missed.
Even Hot 97’s very own, Megan Ryte, can’t decide who she’s most excited to see: “I look at Busta’s catalog and I look at all the people who will be there from Puff to Wayne to Mary and Mariah Carey. A lot of these people have songs together. Could you imagine them all on stage performing their classics and we haven’t seen them perform together in a long time?”
Hot 97 is known for putting on killer shows, so the energy is bound to be through the roof. Megan continues: “I don’t think anything can compare to a Summer Jam with 55,000 people. But I definitely think as a winter concert, and the way that we’re collaborating to put it together, Hot 4 The Holidays is going to be an amazing show with amazing energy and I’m super excited about it.”
And in addition to the star-studded line-up, plenty of surprise guests are expected to hit the stage, Megan explains: “I know there will be special guests. I don’t know who they are, but I think it’s going to be more along the terms of who’s not going to be there rather than who is going to be there. Busta and Hot 97 are going to pull out all the stops.”
“It literally could be anybody.”
