A new report is saying 12-year-old Tamir Rice had his hands in his pockets when he was shot and killed by Cleveland police last year.
An expert was hired by Tamir’s family to examine the surveillance video frame-by-frame. CBS News reports, “Tamir Rice did not have enough time to remove his hands from his pockets before being shot and his hands were not visible to the officer, according to the report released late Friday night by attorneys for Tamir’s family.”
This new piece of evidence is the latest to be released while the grand jury decides whether or not to charge the officer for Tamir’s death. As the story develops, we’ll keep you updated.
