Now, she’s also the sizzling star of Aerie’s latest swimwear ad. As part of its #AerieREAL campaign, the lingerie and lounge-wear line has just released a 30-second teaser of a visual featuring Barbie Ferreira. Although the full vid has yet to be released, this clip is enough to make us fall in love. Check it out for yourself below.
A couple of years ago, Aerie vowed to avoid Photoshopping their ads and the tradition has carried on through their #AerieREAL campaign. In a statement to Refinery29, Aerie’s global brand president Jen Foyle explained their decision to work with Barbie:
“We cast Barbie because she’s got nothing to hide, she’s strong and beautiful—she embraces her real self, which is the spirit of the Aerie Real message.”
And as if you weren’t sold enough, Barbie’s clearly more than just a gorgeous face. She offers the following gems regarding self-love:
“I am unapologetically myself, no matter what anyone’s opinion is,” she says in the clip. “Not being retouched in the images is something that’s very important to me—people knowing that, that’s what I look like without anyone’s perception of what my body needs to look like.”
