The fun is officially over for Johnny Manziel.

Surprising no one, the Cleveland Browns announced Friday afternoon that “Johnny Football” has officially been waived. His first two years at the professional level were stunted by mediocre play, as well as plenty of off-the-field incidents. After playing his heart out at Texas A&M, NFL fans were excited to see the 23-year-old continue his party boy ways and still become a force to be reckoned with at the quarterback position.

Completing a 10-week stint in rehab following his rookie season, many thought Manziel had matured a bit, but the 2015-2016 season proved not much has changed. In the 14 NFL games he’s played, he only started in 8 and won just 2. Not to mention he’s been dealing with a grand jury investigation regarding whether he assaulted his ex-girlfriend.

If Manziel can get his personal life back in order and a team is willing to pick him up, he could still prosper in the league. Stay tuned.
