Wiz Khalifa dropped a new video for “Elevated,” which is a single from his upcoming album Khalifa. Wiz spoke on the visual direction he wanted for the new video.

“[I wanted] to show a little bit of my skills, that I’m in a class by myself,” he explained. “It was my look times whatever situation we were in. So you have me going to dinner; you have me in my car; you have me chilling. We just wanted to bring that out but still look comfortable, so it doesn’t look like I’m doing too much.”

A video of Wiz smoking and chilling doesn’t really sound like anything he hasn’t done in the past, but when the music is this relaxing it probably won’t matter.

Looking at the title and guest features on this song, one can tell it’s going to be heater. “Trap House” doesn’t disappoint and features a scene stealing verse from Young Thug on a beat that sounds like it could’ve easily been on Silme Season 3. Lil Durk and Young Dolph play cleanup but definitely add to its ability to be replayed multiple times on booming systems across the nation. This song was made to be turned up to deafening levels.

Nas and J. Dilla trade verse on this lyrical cipher that’s sure to give traditional hip-hop fans something to smile about. The track is from J. Dilla’s The Diary, which will be out in a couple days on the 15th. The album is “Dilla’s long lost vocal album from the early ’00s that has since been completed with mixes and masters from his personal archives.”
