Prince is dead but his music will live forever. It felt fitting to have a post of some Prince jams to help everyone get through this hyper-emotional time. This isn’t a “best of” list or anything like that. There’s no way anybody could seriously make that list as Prince’s music spanned almost four decades. Additionally, there’s a report that he had a ton of music stashed away in a secret vault…in 1987. That’s assuming one can take Susan Rogers’ word for it.

“It became an obsession. I wanted us to have everything he’d ever recorded. I called up the studios he’d been using and said: ‘Have you got any Prince tapes’? This is his legacy. We need to protect these things. It’s an actual bank vault, with a thick door. It’s in the basement of Paisley Park. When I left in 87, it was nearly full. Row after row of everything we’d done. I can’t imagine what they’ve done since then.”

With a music collection that big, it’s anyone’s guess what will happen to it. Or, if it will ever come out. In the meantime, he’s left fans with plenty of music to sift through and enjoy now. R.I.P. to the legend.
