You had one job, Rich Homie Quan. One job.
Hip-hop heads killed Rich Homie Quan last night when he joined Lil Kim on stage at Vh1’s Hip-Hop Honors: All Hail The Queens event. Lil Kim asked the Atlanta rapper to perform Junior M.A.F.I.A’s “Get Money” anthem, but Rich Homie Quan forgot a very important thing – Biggie’s lyrics.
Quan started off strong, but ended up flubbing the lyrics halfway through his performance. He tried to save the performance by ad-libbing through it, but it was already a major fail.
The “internets” quickly pounced on Rich Homie Quan’s hip-hop violation and created a #BiggiesLyricsMatter movement.
Quan, if you’re ever invited to pay homage to someone important again, take the time out to learn their lyrics and practice.
