Charlamagne Tha God is one of the most prominent and unapologetic voices in pop culture media. Soon, you’ll be able to read all about his journey in his upcoming book Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It, set to release in April 2017.

From growing up in Moncks Corner, S.C., to becoming Wendy Williams’ co-host on her long-running New York radio show, to now being a star on his own hit show The Breakfast Club, it’s safe to say this radio personality knows a thing or two about the hustle. Black Privilege promises to be packed with “brutally honest insights” and helpful nuggets of wisdom. In addition, Charlamagne said the book will be about maximizing one’s potential, no matter what the circumstances may be.

“I wrote this for the dreamers, for the optimists; this book isn’t for pessimists,” Charlamagne said in an interview with Hip-HopDX“This book is about embracing who and what you are regardless of race, gender, sexuality and class. God gave you the privilege of this thing called life, so regardless of what this society tells you that you can’t do and what you don’t have, [you have] to understand you lack nothing. God gave you everything you need to succeed.”
Charlamagne’s book is available for pre-order on Amazon now.
