Lindsay Lohan says she was left in shock after allegedly being racially profiled at London’s Heathrow Airport.

On Tuesday, the actress revealed on Good Morning Britain that while flying out of London to New York she was stopped by an airport attendant and asked to take off the headscarf she was wearing. She told hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, “I got stopped at the airport and was racially profiled for the first time in my life. She opened my passport and saw Lindsay Lohan and started apologizing but said, ‘Please, take off your headscarf.'”

The star added that she wasn’t sure if she was targeted because the airport attendant thought she was Muslim, but said the incident was “jarring.” She continued, “I mean, it’s OK. But what scared me was that moment, how would another woman who doesn’t feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel? That was really interesting to me. I was kind of in shock.”

However, Lindsay did admit that although she hasn’t converted to Islam, she has been studying it, saying, “You can’t just convert to a religion overnight,. I just study it, nothing is confirmed yet. The Islamic culture, I feel it’s a family to me, they’ve been really good people to me.”
