In celebration of the 20th anniversary of his iconic debut album Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101, Grammy-nominated artist and philanthropist Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins is giving back to the community that helped shape his career. This Saturday (July 26), Jeezy’s Street Dreamz Foundation, in partnership with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), will host a free “Community Day” event in Atlanta. Read more and get more details inside.

Taking place from 12 PM to 4 PM at Impact Church in East Point, the event marks a major moment in Jeezy’s evolution. From rap superstar to community leader, the rapper’s foundation has teamed up with LISC to curate a beautiful day for the neighborhood. While he takes the stage that night for a sold-out symphony orchestra tour stop in Atlanta, his focus earlier in the day will be squarely on uplifting his hometown.

More than 500 children will receive essential back-to-school supplies. Families will benefit from 25,000 pounds of grocery giveaways, and attendees can access vital health screenings, including diabetes, blood pressure, and prostate health checks. The event also includes mental wellness resources, educational activities, and career exposure opportunities, all aimed at building long-term community power. This is more than a one-off charity event.

“This isn’t just about celebrating an album—it’s about celebrating resilience and giving people the tools they need to thrive,” Jeezy shared in a statement. “With LISC, we’re scaling the work Street Dreamz has always done—meeting people where they are and helping build real opportunity.”

The “Community Day” represents a transformational partnership between Jeezy’s Street Dreamz Foundation and LISC, a national nonprofit known for its 360-degree approach to community revitalization. Their collaboration began around prostate cancer awareness but quickly expanded to include broader issues such as youth development, wellness, housing, and financial empowerment.

Event attendees will use a virtual passport system to explore and engage with all the available resources. They will range from Urban League housing support to hands-on learning stations for the youth. It’s the kickoff to a year-long series of activations that will travel to cities like Detroit, Cincinnati, and more. An initiative that will bring community engagement from the barbershop to the classroom.

The timing of the event, 20 years after Thug Motivation 101 went double platinum and shaped a generation, couldn’t be more fitting. Jeezy’s message remains consistent: progress starts with people, and building real change begins with those who never stopped dreaming.
