Busta Rhymes To Receive Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star

Busta will receive one of entertainment’s highest honors. The dedication ceremony will take place on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:30 AM PT, at 6201 Hollywood Boulevard, in front of East Town. Busta will receive the 2,818th star in the category of Recording, which will be a well-deserved tribute thanks to his massive influence on music, performance, and pop culture.
Hosted by famed radio personality and Walk of Famer Big Boy, the star-studded ceremony will feature remarks from Busta’s longtime friends and collaborators including Chris Rock, LL Cool J, and Chuck D. The event will be streamed live on the Walk of Fame website, allowing fans across the globe to join in on the celebration.
“Busta Rhymes, one of hip-hop’s most enduring and electrifying voices, will soon grace our legendary sidewalk,” said Hollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez. “His star will be a lasting testament to the influence and cultural significance of hip-hop music.”
With over 20 million albums sold worldwide, 12 Grammy nominations, and more than 60 million records certified gold and platinum, Rhymes has carved a lane all his own. From his explosive solo debut The Coming to unforgettable hits like “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See,” “Touch It,” and “Break Ya Neck,” Busta’s fusion of lyrical speed, charisma, and visual innovation has made him one of the most recognizable figures in rap.
Beyond music, Busta has left his mark in film and television, with standout roles in Higher Learning, Narc, and The Rugrats Movie. He returns to the big screen this summer in Paramount’s The Naked Gun reboot alongside Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson, dropping the same week as his Walk of Fame ceremony.
Still evolving, Busta recently released Blockbusta, which was executive produced by Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, and Swizz Beatz. His latest EPs, The Awakening and Equinox, have kept fans hungry for more ahead of his upcoming album Vengeance.
Busta’s contributions go beyond entertainment. He’s a Global Citizens and St. Jude Ambassador and serves as the first MusiCares Hip-Hop Ambassador.
