Funny man Will Ferrell stopped by Wednesday’s edition of Conan; tricked out as his dashing ’70s newsman character of Ron Burgundy and the Anchorman legend divulged that there would be an upcoming sequel to the 2004 hit film!

“I want to announce this to all of our friends in the Americas, Spain, Turkey and the U.K. — including England — that as of oh-nine-hundred hours Mountain Time, Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel for Anchorman,” Ferrell said.

“It is official: There will be a sequel to Anchorman.

What’s more, according to Deadline.com, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner, who portrayed Ferrell’s faithful news team, will all be returning for the succeeding edition. 

In total thespian mode and famed character, Ferrell reprised the jazz flute musical passage he famously performed in the original.
