The Simpsons will come to an end after its next season.

Yesterday, we reported that the actors didn’t want to take a pay cut, but now Fox executives say that even if the actors take a 50 percent pay cut, the show will still be canceled after next season.

Fox released a statement saying they can no longer make it rain in the club with that Simpson money:

“We believe this brilliant series can and should continue, but we cannot produce future seasons under its current financial model. We are hopeful that we can reach an agreement with the voice cast that allows The Simpsons to go on entertaining audiences with original episodes for many years to come.”

The Simpsons has been on television forever! Most of us probably cannot remember a time when our favorite yellow family was not on every Sunday.
