Selena Gomez Helped Her Dad Pick Up Chicks At Hooters! (DETAILS)

When a couple divorces, most children involved typically want to try to get their parents back together.

Selena Gomez, however, set herself apart from that stereotype at a young age and even helped her dad get chicks while going out with him!

In the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the former Disney star shares her stories of her father taking her to Hooters where the waitresses would flock to her.

She said of the scenario:

“When I was seven, my dad would go to Hooters to watch [San Antonio] Spurs games, but he started noticing that when I would come, with my little pigtails, all the waitresses would be like, ‘Hey!’. So he ended up spending time with me but with all those cute girls coming over. And that became our thing.”

Selena’s parents separated when she was just five years old, and said to the magazine that she blamed her mom for their marriage not working:

“I blame my mom a lot, because I wanted a family so bad,” she said. “I wanted to have my dad and my mom together. So, it was really hard. I remember just being really angry with my mom. And I still feel really bad for that.”

It turns out that Selena understands where her parents are coming from, being that she recently broke up with her boyfriend Justin Bieber, and hasn’t gone out with a guy since.

She said of guys asking her out:

“(I don’t get) asked out a lot. When I actually look presentable, I’m at an awards show. It’s not like I’ve wanted to go out and look for someone. I’m not really good at that.” But she still believes in love. “I believe in love — yes, I’m one of those girls.”

She really has been focusing more on her girl friends lately, being that she was spotted yesterday heading to Austin, TX for the 2013 SXSW Film Festival to meet up with her good friend and co-star Ashley Benson.

The two even bonded some more while dancing together waiting at the airport for their flight!

It’s not surprising since Selena loves to get her groove on, and proved it in a new video of her and some of her girls dancing in a dance studio.

The girls did a choreographed routine to the song “Your Boyfriend Is A Douchebag”, and even screamed out the lyrics by the end of the video as if they were sending out a subliminal message!

Hmm, could Selena be telling us something?

We’re glad that Selena is having a great time being single and learning more about herself before her next relationship.
