The odds are definitely on J. Cole’s side.
After releasing his sophomore album three weeks ago, J. Cole’s Born Sinner has gone number one. Released on June 18, Born Sinner came in at the number two spot right behind Kanye West’s Yeezus album.
J. Cole remained at the number two spot when his friend Wale released his third studio album, The Gifted, but this week is different.
The final tallies aren’t in as of yet, but Billboard is reporting J. Cole has sold an additional 55,000 copies on top of his debut of 297,992 copies and last week’s 88,000 copies.
With his latest album resting at the number one spot, Born Sinner is officially Cole’s second number one album.
