Jay-Z is the boss of the Roc Nation army, and his Roc roster is one of the craziest in the industry. 

Although Jay-Z boasts an army of artists like J.Cole, Hugo, Rihanna and Wale, a lot of critics have been questioning Roc Nation’s ability to push its artists out into the forefront of the music industry.

On Monday, Jay made a surprise pit stop to The Angie Martinez Show at Hot 97, to clear up rumors of a Kanye fight and talk about Watch The Throne, as well as to address the album release delays of a few of his Roc Nation artists.

When asked about the album delays of J.Cole and his other artists, Jay simply responded, “You can’t come off the street and make a classic.” 

All of which is true, but some of his artists’ fans are getting quite antsy.

Roc Nation doesn’t only boast the roster of new artists, it also includes seasoned celebs who currently use Roc Nation for management purposes. Jay-Z signed Rihanna back when he was at Def Jam, now Rihanna uses Roc Nation’s management team.

J. Cole is signed to Roc Nation and his debut album Cole World is set to come out on September 27th.

He is currently putting out his “Any Given Sunday” series, which features new music from him every Sunday.

The Ting Tings are a great duo who have come all the way from England.

Signed to Columbia Records, but managed by Roc Nation, they have gained their fame through several hit singles including “That’s Not My Name,” “Fruit Machine” and “Great DJ.”

Willow Smith is one of the youngest artists signed to Roc Nation and the beginning of her career has been incredible.

She rocked the music industry with her her hits “Whip My Hair” and “21st Century Girl.”

She is currently working on her debut album, but in the meantime, has won a Grammy.

Wale is not signed to Roc Nation as an artist, however he is managed by the company.

He is currently doing his thing with MMG, Rick Ross the Boss, and the other fellow rappers on Maybach Music Group.

Known as Roc Nation’s gangster Rocker, Hugo signed with the record label and has already put out his debut album Old Tyme Religion.

He is best known and widely respected for his part in “99 Problems.”

Jay Electronica, who is signed with Roc Nation, is one of the most respected lyricists in the industry.

With extreme anticipation for his music, Roc Nation holds one of the best rappers on their roster.

Mark Ronson is managed by Roc Nation and is a dope singer who has been making several appearances on big networks like MTV.

Rita Ora is a dope artist signed to Roc Nation.

With a nice following and loud buzz, the 19-year-old rising star is a very unique British singer with amazing vocal ability.

Roc Nation also manages Melanie Fiona, who has recently performed at the Steve Madden Music Summer Concert Series.
