Not only did Tha Carter IV set a new record for iTunes with a final number of 345,000 downloads, but he is now the highest selling male artist since he dropped Tha Carter III.

Despite being leaked four days prior to its release, Tha Carter IV still managed to go almost platinum in the first week.
Tha Carter IV fell short of topping his previous album Tha Carter III, which sold 1,005,545 in the first week.
It’s safe to say that Tha Carter IV will go platinum by the end of the week for sure. A million here, a million there, Lil Wayne definitely has some celebrating to do.
