The country pop princess ditches the fun pop sound on tracks like “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” for a little country twang on “Red.”
Taylor previewed the track on Good Morning America, but her snippet live performance definitely did “Red” no justice. “Red” is a classic Taylor record, but way catchier on the mastered album version.
“Losing him was blue like I’d never known/Missing him was dark grey all alone/Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you’ve never met/But loving him was red/Loving him was red,” sings Taylor.

Taylor Swift also previewed her new track “Begin Again,” which is now currently available on iTunes.
“Red” is off Taylor Swift’s forthcoming fourth studio album Red, which is set to hit store shelves October 22.
