2013 is not only the Year of the Snake, it may also be the year of the comeback!

LIST: M.I.A! What Has Justin Timberlake Been Doing For The Last Seven Years?!

While quite a few artists seem to be making a resurgence in the music scene this year, there’s three standouts that catch the eye of a music enthusiast like a wishing star in the night sky: Justin Timberlake, Destiny’s Child, and Juelz Santana.

After all, JT has always been one to have us vibe out to some FutureSex/Love Sounds, DC are the dopest “Independent Women” ever, and Juelz is What The Game’s Been Missing!

While all three have their respective fan bases, a comeback is still a comeback, and no matter what your musical palette has a taste for, there’s no denying when somebody has the potential to come back; they come back strong.

A comeback in music is all about getting the fanatics hyped and building anticipation for a product that will hopefully live up to that hype. GlobalGrind decided to put together a piece highlighting how these guys did just that.

Because when it’s all said and done, we all want to be the best. Check them out down below, and let us know who you think won this battle royale!

Justin Timberlake‘s last album FutureSex/LoveSounds was in 2006. That was seven years ago! But the 31-year-old multi-talented entertainer knows he still has it when it comes to music. A hiatus ain’t nothing when you’ve got that blue-eyed soul and hold the secret to bringing “Sexyback!”

Justin put out a trailer called “I’m Ready,” cementing to fans that he was in fact, ready to make some new music.

He teased fans with a string of tweets before it culminated with “Can’t wait. Too stoked! #SuitAndTie #JT2013 tmbr.lk/suitandtie,” followed by the release of his forthcoming album’s first single.

And January 14th was when JT finally released “Suit And Tie” feat. Jay-Z. Also, in the spirit of getting fans hyped, the 20/20 Experience album title was revealed via an open letter on his countdown website.

Even though Destiny’s Child is a group of three beautiful ladies, the hype and what’s to come from the trio reuniting after nearly a decade-long hiatus, may have to go mostly to the one and only King Bey and her website.

Not only is Beyonce making sure she’s relevant, but she’s making sure she’s “hot” in 2013, and what better way then a cover for GQ’s February issue? The football theme works! Because not only will she be headlining the Super Bowl XLVII Half Time Show, but it was recently announced Kelly and Michelle will be joining her on stage for a Destiny’s Child reunion!

Mashable delivered the Destiny’s Child Pharrell Williams produced-single “Nuclear” from their upcoming compilation album Love Songs, which is slated to come out January 29th.

And with Beyonce’s executive-produced HBO documentary in February, not to mention rumors floating around that Beyonce’s working with hubby Jay-Z, Azealia Banks, MiguelMissy ElliotThe-DreamTimbaland, and even the comeback kid who be on his “Suit And Tie” sh*t, as long as Beyonce can have fans “Say My Name, Say My Name,” then Destiny’s Child will be in the minds and hearts of everybody who’s hoping for a new follow-up to that “Nuclear” joint.

The last time Juelz Santana delivered fans a solo project was back in 2005 with What The Game’s Been Missing! That’s just about as long as Justin Timberlake’s been away from the music industry.

Despite his sophomore album’s namesake, Juelz never really went anywhere. He was still making music and doing verses on songs like Kirko Bangz‘s “Drank In My Cup (Remix).” As well as casually appearing on Vh1’s Love & Hip-Hop.

Preceding his God Will’n mixtape, Juelz dropped the first single “Soft” featuring Rick Ross and Meek Mill, which hyped fans for what to expect from the project.

Finally, the God Will’n mixtape makes its debut to the world, with a generous 19 tracks and features other than members of the MMG crew: Wiz Khalifa, Yo Gotti, Future, Lloyd Banks, Jadakiss, and Lil Wayne just to name some.

And Juelz let it be known that his forthcoming third album Born To Lose, Built To Win would be executive produced by his YMCMB homie Lil Wayne. So while Justin Timberlake and Beyonce may have Jay-Z in their corner, the Harlem rapper’s got another Mr. Carter ringside, Lil Wayne!

This translates to “No Worries” and possibly a much-anticipated Watch The Throne-esque album from the two rappers. Making Juelz Santana’s comeback even sweeter!
