Ann Romney, the wife of Republican presidential nominee Mitt, made her debut on NBC’s The Tonight Show Tuesday night, where she spoke lightheartedly with host Jay Leno about a number of topics, including her recent scare on an airplane that resulted in an emergency landing.

The audience laughed when Leno brought up Mitt’s odd response to the incident, when he stated, “[airplane] windows don’t open. I don’t know why they don’t do that.”

Mrs. Romney clarified her husband’s comments, saying that he was not being serious.

Ann also shared her true feelings about campaigning, speaking about the time she recorded herself on video telling Mitt that she will never go through the campaigning process again.

“For years ago, I made a videotape. I looked in the camera, and I said: ‘Mitt, this is for you, sweetheart. I’m never doing this again.’ And I showed it to him, and he looked at it, and he said, ‘You know, Ann, you say that after every pregnancy.'”

Funny thing is, the Romneys have five children!

When asked about Mitt’s infamous 47 percent comment, Ann responded by reassuring viewers that they “care about the 100 percent.”
