A request to push back the “Stand Your Ground” hearing in the Trayvon Martin case has been denied, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

DETAILS: Will George Zimmerman’s Trial Be Delayed? The Verdict Is…

Circuit Judge Debra Nelson today rejected George Zimmerman‘s request to delay the start of his “stand your ground” hearing, saying that it will start April 22.

She also ordered 500 potential jurors, more than the Seminole County Courthouse can hold, for Zimmerman’s second-degree murder trial.

At the hearing, Zimmerman is expected to testify that he killed Trayvon because he believed the 17-year-old teenager was trying to kill him.

While the denied request to move the hearing is good news for the prosecution, it could be bad news for them if the judge is convinced that Zimmerman is telling the truth.

Nelson will throw out the second-degree murder charges altogether.

We’re continuing to pray for Trayvon’s justice.
