Today is a special day! It’s President Barack Obama’s birthday!
The president of our country celebrates the day he was born today, he is turning 51, but still has a young heart.

Obama has already played a round or two of golf with some friends to celebrate, and has planned a weekend getaway to Camp David.
Even though he is taking a breather this weekend, he is sure to be back to work for his re-election campaign starting Monday.
The fun will continue on soon though, as the big man has some birthday-themed fundraisers planned for next weekend!
He recently emailed his supporters saying:
“This could be the last one I celebrate as president of the United States, but that’s not up to me – it’s up to you.”
He’s even had some of his supporters sing him ‘Happy Birthday’ at a rally in Florida this past week!

From making some epic speeches, to making major moves for our country, and spending some quality time with his family, we’d say that Obama has had a lot to smile about throughout this year.
It’s been a tough 12 months, but we’re so proud of Obama, and we can’t wait to see what he has planned for us next!
