It was déjà vu all over again as the New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI 21-17.

It was a back and forth game throughout as Giants quarterback Eli Manning and Patriots QB Tom Brady battled for Super Bowl supremacy.
The game came down to the fourth quarter and Giants quarterback Eli Manning did what he has been doing all year long, bringing back his team when they needed it the most.
But the play that changed everything was the 38-yard pass from Manning to his big play receiver Mario Manningham, squeezing the ball perfectly between two defensive backs.
It was the catch that changed the game and cemented the Giants their fourth Super Bowl championship and their second in five years.
It also reminded fans of the helmet catch five years earlier by then-Giants wide receiver David Tyree.
“I think they are both spectacular catches,” Giants coach Tom Coughlin said. “I think with Mario’s earlier tonight, the way he kept his feet inbounds and held onto the ball (while) going out of bounds was a remarkable thing.”
In the end, Manning has stamped his spot in the Hall Of Fame, winning a Super Bowl in the house his brother Peyton Manning built.
Manning said at the end, “It just feels good to win a Super Bowl and doesn’t matter where you are.”
Congrats to the New York Football Giants. The victor parade is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 11:00 a.m. EDT and the route starts at Battery Place and Washington Street, ends at City Hall Plaza with a ceremony and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg presenting a Key to the City.
