Last night (January 26), celeb-loved lifestyle brand Alo Yoga, teamed up with NBA star Jimmy Butler to celebrate the success of the Alo Recovery Mode Sneaker with an epic party! Click inside to check out photos from the event!
Alo Yoga was founded by childhood friends Danny Harris and Marco DeGeorge in Los Angeles in 2007. The two became interested in yoga as a treatment for anxiety and a back injury respectively. Alo, which stands for “air, land, and ocean,” rose to prominence when celebrities such as Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber and Bella Hadid received free Alo products and wore them in paparazzi photographs.
As of last year, the company has more than 50 brick-and-mortar stores (which it calls “sanctuaries”), which feature yoga studios and cafés. Since its inception, Alo has expanded beyond athletic wear. Alo Glo System, a skincare brand, was launched in December 2020. At New York Fashion Week in September 2022Alo also introduced the Aspen Collection, a luxury line of ski wear and non-fungible tokens. In May of 2023, the company began selling sneakers. Earlier this year, the focus of the sneaker changed and it is now marketed as a recovery sneaker, which aims to support balance and pressure points for all-day recovery.
Obviosuly Alo is tied in with the stars. It was only right that they teamed up with one of their sponsored athletes, Jimmy Butler, to celebrate how well their Alo Recovery Mode Sneakers have done. Coming off of his recent feature on Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter and his track A Bar Song (Tipsy) peaking at number 3 on Billboard, Shaboozey rocked the stage for attendees.
Notable guests such as Brroke Schofield, Joy Corrigan, Blake Gray, Tessa Brooks, Meredith Mickelson and many more attended the event at Alo Yoga’s Beverly Hills HQ to get a firsthand look at the incredible Alo Sneakers. While doing so, guests enjoyed cocktails by Casamigos, delicious bites from Great White, deserts by Goop and luxe ear piercings courtesy of Simon G.
