Diet Coke has appointed the world-renowned fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier as their new Creative Director, who will work his magic on a range of Diet Coke projects in 2012. 

Jean Paul Gaultier will bring his creative flair and fashion prowess to a limited edition collection of show-stopping bottles and cans. He will also be developing online content, retail concepts and ad campaigns across Europe.

The designer has taken his unique, signature style codes and harnessed his fun and light-hearted attitude, to create an iconic collection for Diet Coke. The campaign themed ‘Night & Day’ pays homage to many of Gaultier’s famous collections and will run throughout 2012.
To celebrate the launch of the partnership, Jean Paul Gaultier stars in three short films “The Night & Day Serial Designer,” which premiere Gaultier collaborating with the brand. The Serial Designer Series features a guest appearance in each film – where Gaultier takes on a different role, from a therapist to a journalist and even a private detective.

Each film heroes one of the Diet Coke girls and brings to life their personality in a humorous way. The international fashion icon helps to solve an outfit dilemma for Eleanor, Bernadette and Irene – he transforms them, exclusively styling them in Gaultier following their fashion emergency.

Launching on three consecutive days from today, March 8th – 10th, each episode in the series will be available on the Diet Coke YouTube channel. The films are the first project that Gaultier has undertaken in his role as Creative Director for the brand, building excitement and intrigue for the dynamic projects set to be unveiled throughout the year.
