Last September during Spring 2012 fashion week, Jason Wu showed his collection of womenswear. As usual, it was a display of free flowing and beautifully crafted pieces that we instantly fell in love with. Three pieces in particular stood out more than any of the others and that’s because they were examples of his recent collaboration with KAWS!

The Brooklyn-based artist worked with Wu on a dress, blouse and a pair of shorts. KAWS added his clapping hands motif, that he has previously used for his own brand Original Fake, to Wu’s floral print.

The resulting pieces are sure to be collector’s items and they have finally gone on sale at none other than the famed Parisian boutique colette. Prices range from $875 for the shorts to $2,400 for the dress.

Without a doubt, the collaborative effort made the garments more expensive than Wu’s usual pieces, but not out of the price range of his target audience.

You can take a closer look at the pieces from the Jason Wu x Kaws collaboration included in the Jason Wu Spring 2012 collection in the gallery above. You can also watch the full Jason Wu Spring/Summer 2012 show below!
